Good discussion of important life lessons
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 5, 2023

I would have benefited more from reading this book in my 30s than my 50s, but I still enjoyed reading it. It also helped bring back to mind lessons I learned the hard way but had not thought about in a while. Many of the stories used to illustrate points are entertaining but also get a little rambling. On a positive note, the chapter titles are useful in recalling the main messages. Highly recommended for those under 40 – now at 58, I can confirm this book has good advice.

Great self-improvement book!
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 7, 2023

This book was recommended to me by a physician when we were discussing books one day. It is a great read and brings a lot of self-awareness. I’ve recommended it to several others once I’ve read it. I jotted notes when I read it and have gone back several times to reflect and refresh my memory. 😂.

Profound but very approachable book
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 19, 2023

I guessed from the title that this would be a silly little book, but I was wrong. It’s EXTREMELY profound and very helpful – and, best of all, very approachable. It talks about a lot of philosophy and religion, and even psychology – without all of the complicated rhetoric that often ruined that kind of book. It is extremely easy to understand and actually fun to read.
One of the things I enjoyed most is that the author was not full of himself. He admitted his own frailties and weaknesses. He never put himself forth as an “expert.” He. was very respectful of his readers.
Warning, though, as the name implies, the book is sprinkled with profanity. If this is a sensitivity for you, it might not be the right book for you.
